Keith Roberts

“You will always be in our hearts and wherever we go, and whatever we do, we will take you with us”

“You will always be in our hearts and wherever we go, and whatever we do, we will take you with us”

Keith sadly passed away after a short illness on 21st April with his loving wife Christine by his side. Keith was a cherished husband to Christine, a devoted Dad to Phillip and Michael, a loving Father-in-Law to Shell and Sam, and affectionate Grandpa and “Baba” to Zak, Luke, Chloe and Jessica and will be greatly missed by all of them.

Keith started his working life at the age of 15 as an apprentice in Crewe Works where he trained as an Electrical Engineer, later working at EWS on Wistaston Road. Later in life Keith changed career to become a Support Worker where he worked with adults with learning difficulties and was much loved and respected by both the people he supported and his colleagues. Outside of work he also served as a member of the Special Constabulary for 8 years where he reached the rank of Section Officer. Keith also spent time as a Scout leader at the 6th South West Cheshire Scout group where both sons attended.

Keith’s great passions in life were his family and his holidays. He enjoyed many family holidays to Tenby, South Wales where so many wonderful and happy memories were made together. In his later years Keith and Christine enjoyed many holidays to Kos which felt like a second home to them and where they met so many wonderful people including some dear friends from Holland.

When Keith knew how poorly he was, he was saddened that he would not get to spend more time with Christine and would not see his beloved grandchildren grow up.

Keith made a big impression on so many people’s lives with his lovable personality and his sense of humour. Always fun, always loving, always thoughtful. Whenever we think of him we will hear laughing. What an example to us all.

In remembrance of our close friend Keith, taken far too soon. We met Chris and Keith as work colleagues but soon became good friends socially…. not forgetting their colourful input at our fancy-dress events with our friends with special needs, Keith loved to get involved and was such an integral part of our team at our monthly Social/Disco over many years…. his company, together with Chris, was enjoyed by many, he will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts
    RIP KEITH….. ????

Keith always had a laugh, always a smile. He was a joy to work with and even more so to count as a dear friend. Taken from us far too soon and so cruelly. So whenever we feel low, we will remember to laugh and smile in fond memory of Keith. Sending lots of love to you Chris and Phillip, Michael and families at this very sad time. From Joan and John.
