Margaret Ellen Crowson

“Nothing on Earth will ever replace the sound of your voice or the smile on your Face”

Date passed: 16th of June 2020

Funeral date: 29th of June 2020

“Nothing on Earth will ever replace the sound of your voice or the smile on your Face”

Mum was born in Love lane Nantwich to Margaret and Horace Masser, there were two sisters and a brother , Celia Albert and June.
The years rolled by and mum had her own family, Jan, Celia, John, Michael, Wendy Mark Diane David and Tim,
Mum my dad Arthur and the family lived in South Street before moving To Bedford Street , this is where  we were raised, a house full of love and happiness, the front door was never locked and people were in and out all day  long, mum loved it, the more the better, she had many friends and the kettle was always boiling in Bedford Street for family and friends.
Mum was a hard worker of that there is no doubt, her knees  were always reddened from kneeling and rubbing red cardinal polish into the tiles, the place shone.
There was always washing on the clothes line  and if not enough space on her own line she would have the use of Ma hicktons next door.
We never ever wanted as children there was always food on the table and always clean beds to lie in, oh yes mum made the most delicious meat and potatoe pie and her stews were something else along with her trifles.
Mum was a carer all her life , she cared for us, cared for my dad , his family her own mum and dad and family , but also other peoples children, she had Scott, jackie and Sue , Jamie , these she loved as her own as they loved her..
My mum lost dad very suddenly when he was only sixty eight , this was such a blow to mum and the spark seemed to go out of her , she seemed so lost and lonely without him it was heart breaking, but mum being mum she bounced back after a few years and enjoyed life with her family and friends once again and by this time of course her grandchildren and great grandchildren, mum was at her happiest with a baby in her arms and this always brought the most radiant smile to her face.
The years rolled by and thank goodness mum enjoyed a relatively healthy and happy life . Mum also had much care and support from friend Ken over the years , they spent many happy times together at Crewe Road, with her little dog Ruby, and  holidays and trips around the country. They enjoyed relaxing times in her beautiful garden, mum loved her flowers and plants so much .
Of course mum needed more and more care as she got into her nineties  but still sustained an independence, her family were always around her she was well cared for and loved and a special thankyou has to be extended to Michael and Tim who never left her side when she was taken into Leighton Hospital , we know how hard this must have been on them both but due to visiting restrictions due to covid this had to be the case.
A big thank you is extended to the doctors and nurses  of Leighton Hospital who cared so lovingly for mum in the final weeks of her life and also the carers who visited her when she was at home.
As the years pass by and the grief comes easier to bare, we will be able to reflect on the wonderful years we had with mum and be grateful that we had her for so long , but today all we can say is thanks mum for being the lady you were, a loving wife a loving mother , grandmother and great grandmother, and a good friend to so many people. night night god bless and rest in peace .
