“We’re so proud of you. Will miss you forever.”

Norman passed peacefully away at Telford Court Nursing Home, knowing he was loved and cared for, aged 88 years. The beloved husband of the late Margaret, dearest dad of Alan, Susan and the late Glyn and Adrian. Grandad of Matthew, Michael, Luke, Paul, Sian, Amy, Liam, Josh and Jake, who will be sadly missed and remembered with affection.

He was born in Shrewsbury and at the age of eleven he attended Shrewbury Grammar School. When he left school he  became a train driver,a job  he continued to work at for over fifty years, with  only a break for his National Service in Windsor. After his retirement he spent time on a farm helping out. When he was young he enjoyed playing tennis, he also enjoyed train spotting, watching sport, crosswords and gardening. He was a sociable and fun-loving character who worked hard. His motto was: ” I’ve worked hard so I’ll play hard.”

Norman’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 7th August at St Andrew’s Church at 1.30pm, followed by burial in Crewe Cemetery. Donations are welcome in memory of Norman to The British Heart Foundation.

    Many happy memories of Norman (and MARGARET), sincere condolences to Norman’s family. Iknow how much he loved his children and grandchildren. Now he is at peace with MARGARET. Rest in Peace Norman, and rise in glory. Fondest love to all. Janet (Kemp)
