Pamela Roll

"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure."

Date passed: 13th of February 2020

Funeral date: 27th of February 2020

“Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.”

Pamela passed away on the 13th February in the care of Primrose House, Haslington, aged 79 years.

The partner of Ron Arnold for 40 years, Pam was a loving mum to Susan and the late Stephan, who sadly passed away in 2003. Also a cherished grandmother to Lucas and Alicia and dearest sister to Judy, Shirley and the late Brian, who passed away in July 2015.

Pam was born on Thursday 28th March 1940 to proud parents Bill and Violet Palin. She attended Brierley Street school.

After her education she had a variety of jobs including driving a bread van for the Coop, a welder at Rolls Royce, working in the shirt factory in Queen Street and woking on Crewe railway station in the Traveller’s Fare cafe. Her last job was as the landlady of the Burton Public House in Crewe between 1988 and 2000. She was to take her well earned retirement after this.

She loved walking her dogs and doing crosswords, taking family holidays, especially to Portugal and also Barmouth with her sister Judy. She was a loving, caring person and would welcome everyone in to the pub, especially her regulars – Andy, Darren, Russell, Jason, David and the scooter lads to name but a few.

The family would like to thank family and friends for all the support, especially Christine Hulme for regularly going to see Pam and keeping in touch. Also a big thankyou to Aunty Judy and Charlotte for being there during this very difficult time.

Pam’s funeral will take place on Thursday 27th February in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe at 12.15pm, followed by cremation.

Donations in memory of Pam will be gratefully received on behalf of Dementia UK.
