"Memories are precious, they don't go away. We think of you always and not just today."

Date passed: 28th of April 2018

Funeral date: 10th of May 2018

“Memories are precious, they don’t go away. We think of you always and not just today.”

Sue passed away suddenly at Leighton Hospital on 28th April, aged 68 years.

The beloved wife of Peter, much loved mum of Neil and Maria. Also the cherished nana of Madison and Isabella.

Sue was born in Nantwich to proud parents Sydney and Mavis in 1949. Her school life was enjoyable, she made many friends and was a popular girl. When she was 13 years old she had a brush with fame, sitting on Cliff Richards’ knee, she was also asked by The Beatles for directions for a gig they were playing at! These encounters probably encouraged her to listen to popular music, watching live bands and dancing was to feature prominently during her life.

She left school at 15 and went to work in a curtain shop, even buying her own sewing machine.

Sue met her future husband Bryan in Coppenhall Club and they were married in Nantwich church in March 1967. Their children, Neil and Maria were soon to follow.

As a family they moved to Manchester for a while where they ran a pub for the Whitbread brewery but after a while Sue grew homesick and they moved back to the local area.

Family holidays, especially to Aberystwyth and the Isle of Man were remembered with fondness.

In the early 90’s Sue and Bryan moved to Crewe and became grandparents to Madison and then later Isabella.

Sadly Sue and Bryan split in 2006 but being the socialite that she was she soon met Pete and they met up in July 2007. They eventually got married on 7th July 2012.

Sue retired about three years ago, not now in the best of health eventually becoming mostly housebound.

She became a bit of a twitcher and loved watching the birds in the garden, being able to name each variety as they visited, especially the duck who she all gave names to!

Sue will be so sadly missed but remembered with affection by all her family and friends.

Her funeral will take place on Thursday 10th May in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe at 2.40pm.
