The beloved husband of Sandra, devoted dad of Barbara, Shaun and Karen. Also a cherished grandad of  Simon, Nicola, Daniel, Allan, Alexander, Ben, Jodie, Haylee, Callum, Alexandra and Ethan and dearest great grandad of Jacob, Charlie, Corey, Kyian, Oliver, Mya, Ethan, Ezra, Jessica, Ava and Amelia. Ben will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

Allan was born on 8th April 1939 at his grandparents to proud parents Edna & Ben.

After attending West Street & Ludford Street Schools, he left at the age of 15 to work at Crewe Works as an apprentice fitter.

It was during a night out at that he met his future wife Sandra. They married in December 1957 & having their three children completed their family.

Allan also became a class one lorry driver travelling the country.

Sandra & Allan enjoyed caravan holidays with friends & family & they eventually purchased a touring caravan of their own & never looked back. Their children & grandchildren have many great stories to tell from their holidays at Welshpool & the Touring Caravan.

Scotland was one of Allan’s favourite places & when they went abroad they enjoyed Malta, Turkey & America & also visited Prague for Sandra’s 65th birthday.

Allan was fun to be with, lived a full life & was also able to laugh at himself.

He sadly passed away in the care of Leighton Hospital on the 4th November, aged 81 years.

A service to celebrate Allan’s life will take place in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe on Monday the 16th November.

Donations in memory of Allan will be gratefully received on behalf of the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.
