Amanda Jayne Corry
No need for words except to say loved and remembered everyday
Amanda (Mandy) was born in Wrexham on the 24 th January 1960. She passed away peacefully, with
both of her daughters at her side, after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer and pneumonia.
She was the youngest of three siblings and leaves behind sister Louise and brother Howard, both of
whom she loved dearly. She was an incredibly loving and supportive mama to Alice and Ginny, who
she always taught to look on the bright side, and caring Granny to Harry. Mandy, as you will
probably know, was never happier than sat on a balcony enjoying the sun in Tenerife or trotting
through the countryside. A great lover of animals, she dedicated her spare time to caring for and
training horses, especially the love of her life Harryman who she is now able to spend the rest of
time with. In her work as a cleaner, she always went the extra mile in caring for her elderly clients
who often became more like family to her. She would be described by her friends and family as
larger than life and always fun to have around, someone guaranteed to make you smile on a rainy
day. She would not want those who she loved and who love her to cry over her passing, she’d want
us to raise a glass in her honour, reminisce and laugh happily about the good times that she shared
with everyone that she knew.
I will be raising a glass of champagne to a wonderful caring friend , Tenerife will never be the same without you , I will be expecting you to come around the corner for your usual G&T every time we go , Mandy , it was an honour to be your friend and I will miss you so much , love to Alice and Ginny
- Approved by oconnellWe were so sad to hear about the passing of Mandy – she started off as our cleaner and then became our friend over the last few years, also caring for my mum Anna and looking after Harper the cat! She will be greatly missed by our family. Lots of love to the girls
