“Nothing on earth will ever replace the sound of your voice, or the smile on your face.”
Tony, also known as “Tote”passed away at The Douglas Macmillan Hospice on the 2nd of January, aged 70 years.
“Tote” was born on Wednesday, the 4th of May 1949 to proud parents Eileen and Jim. He spent his formative years enjoying the wide open spaces of Madeley. After finishing school Tony went to Newcastle to study hair styling. Once he had finished his apprenticeship, he joined Rolls-Royce, perhaps being attracted by the good money at the time. Tony spent 21 years at there before opening his own barbershop in Earl Street, Crewe, (T.Ts) which traded for six or seven years, before Tony decided to go to the Hair Company in Silverdale. It was from here that he retired aged 67 years. He built up a faithful clientele and was missed after his retirement. Tony liked to play darts, dominoes,,snooker and pool. He was an avid Liverpool fan and enjoyed great holidays to Spain. The joy of his life was his son Lee who was born on the 15th of May 1974, Lee with his wife Debbie and his grandchildren Ellie Mai ,Tom,Daniel and Alex have all been an important part of his life. He was very close to his cousins Angela Julie and Cheryl. Tony seemed to know everyone and everyone only had good things to say about him. Tony was good to be with, a loyal friend and a real character. Lee and Debbie with all the family mourn his passing, but have an ocean of memories to hold onto, as they say goodbye to a dad, grandad and a truly lovely man .
Tony’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 21st January at Bradwell Crematorium, Newcastle-u-Lyme at 1.20pm, followed by cremation.

The turn out today was just a small insight into how many lives you have touched and what a great guy you were. Fly high up there and party hard with those who no doubt were waiting to greet you. X
