Date passed: 6th of October 2019
Funeral date: 18th of October 2019
“What thought the radiance which was once so bright, be now forever taken from my sight.”
Betty passed away unexpectedly in her home on 6th October, aged 88 years.
The beloved wife of Hubert, whom she was married to for 68 years. Much loved mum of Nigel and the late David. Also a cherished grandma of Dan and Mel and loving sister of Wilfred and the late Bill and Joan. Betty will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all her family and friends.
Betty was born on Thursday the 28th May 1931 at Bostock House Farm, Hassall Green to proud parents Emma and William.
After her schooling she worked on a small holding as a farm worker, then later as a dinnerlady and a factory worker, finally retiring around 1980.
Betty didn’t really have any hobbies but in her later years she would be found with her head in a puzzle book. Hubert and Betty enjoyed many European holidays with friends over the years.
Her family described Betty as a kind, caring, thoughtful and warm person. They would like to thank the emergency services, all their family and friends who have been supporting Hubert and to Joe O’Connell for helping them through this difficult time.
Betty’s funeral will take place on Friday 18th October in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe at 12.40pm, followed by cremation.
Donations in memory of Betty will be gratefully received on behalf of Dementia UK.
