Dennis Henry Jinks

Dennis passed away at home on the 3rd April, knowing he was loved and cared for, aged 76 years.

The beloved husband of Josie, whom he was married to for 54 years. Also the cherished dad of Kevin and Darren and loving grandad of Katie, Jessica and Toby. Dennis will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew him.

Dennis was born in Aston Juxta Mondrum and went to St. Oswald’s school in the village. After his education he worked as a tailor for County Clothes and as a window dresser for Stead and Simpson.

Dennis and Josie met at Christchurch Youth Club and dance, Josie eventually talking him into being in the choir and from thereon in the church became a big part of his life.

His main hobby was as a racing cyclist and he spent many hours in the saddle, along with Darren. He and Josie also spent many a happy hour down at Bridgenorth in their caravan.

Dennis’ funeral will take place on Wednesday 24th April at Coppenhall Methodist Church, Crewe at 11am, followed by interment in Crewe Cemetery.
