“Memories are something no-one can steal.”
EricĀ passed away peacefully on 28th September in the care of Leighton Hospital, aged 76 years.
The beloved husband of Barbara. Much loved brother of Norma, John, Robert and Rex. Also a cherished uncle, brother-in-law and friend. Eric will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Eric was born on Thursday 5th November 1942 in Nantwich to proud parents Constance Mabel and Dudley. He attended Nantwich Grammar School before going on to work for Rolls Royce as a clerk and then an archivist in the library. He retired at the age of 57.
He had many hobbies, including playing squash and badminton, he loved going out in his car and enjoyed spending time on the computer – even though he often got in a mess and would get frustrated when he couldn’t work something out. He loved taking people out in their cars to help them attain their advanced motoring standard. He loved his holidays, especially the Norfold Broads with all the family. Eventually he bought a caravan in Prestatyn.
Eric was a very quiet man who loved all his family and his nieces and nephews and Barbara, his wife of 43 years would like to thank all the family, especially her sister Kate and nieces Lynsey and Leanne, who have helped carry her through this difficult time.
His funeral will take place on Wednesday 9th October in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe at 11.20am, followed by cremation.
Donations in memory of Eric will be gratefully received on behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
