Ernest Joseph Roberts

“We are so proud of you, we will miss you forever.”

Ernest sadly passed away on the 8th December in the care of Leighton Hospital, aged just 58 years knowing he was loved. The loving partner of 35 years to Trisha, dearest stepdad of Jason, Tricia, Terry, David and Sally. Also a cherished grandad and great grandad and loving brother, Ernie will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

Ernie was born on Christmas Eve 1960 to proud parents Ernest and Joan. He attended Bedford Street Boys School and after his education he went on to work on various building sites before eventually working on the council recycling centres at Crewe, Middlewich and Northwich before having to retire with ill health in 2015.

He loved collecting records, he especially liked Rock n Roll music and Motown. He had a passion for vintage cars and he loved fishing. He loved his holidays, Blackpool and Wales being two of his favourite destinations.

His family described him as being a brave, kind and funny man who always loved playing the fool.

Ernie’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 31st December in the Crematorium Chapel,  Crewe at 10am, followed by cremation.
