Frank Allen (Monty)
"There is no night without the dawn. No winter without the spring."
Date passed: 22nd of December 2019
Funeral date: 10th of January 2020
“There is no night without the dawn, no winter without the spring.”
Frank sadly passed away in his own home on 22nd December, knowing he was loved and cared for by his family. The beloved husband of Brenda, devoted dad of David, Joanne and Jason, cherished grandad of Leanne, Craig, Joshua, Felix, Tim and Danielle and great grandad of Jenson. Also loving brother of Margy, Pauline and the late Geoff. Frank will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by everyone who knew him.
Born on Saturday 9th August 1941 to proud parents Elizabeth and Frank in Nantwich, Frank attended school at Manor Road North before starting work as a builder, specialising in bricklaying. He later went on to work for Sproustons.
After taking his retirement, two weeks later he decided that it wasn’t for him so he got a job driving the school buses for Malbank Coaches, taking the children to and from school from Bunbury village.
Frank loved gardening and he had his own allotment in Welshman’s Lane where he would grow a variety of vegetables. Nothing gave him more pleasure than giving his own home-grown food to people.
Favourite holidays included Tenerife and cruising holidays.
Frank was a kind, family man who would do anything for anybody.
His funeral will take place on Friday 10th January in St. Mary’s Parish Church, Nantwich at 11.15am, followed by private family cremation.
Family flowers only please but donations in memory of Frank will be gratefully received on behalf of MacMillan.

I have been a family friend all my life and attended school with Frank’s youngest son Jason. Monty was one of the nicest people you could meet, a good friend to my Dad Kevin and I still had regular contact with him at Nantwich club where we would talk about allotment life, football and Monty would always come and ask us for the snooker updates. Please pass my sincere condolences to Brenda, Jason and the family as unfortunately I cannot attend the funeral.
