Frederick ‘Fred’ Thorley

“There is no night without the dawn”

At Leighton hospital on the 15th December, Fred passed away peacefully aged 85 years.
The beloved husband of the late Helen, dearest dad of Hazel and her husband Paul, also a cherished grandad of Louise and Robert and great grandad of Lily, Bobby, Oluchi and Chuka.

Fred worked at Crewe Works until he was called to do his national service and upon returning he was a track layer on the railways all the way up to his retirement.

Fred was a very smart, independent and private man, who will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Fred’s funeral will take place on Friday 29th December in Crewe Crematorium Chapel at 2.40pm.
