"Although are hearts are broken we have lots of memories to comfort us."

Date passed: 11th of August 2019

Funeral date: 22nd of August 2019

“Although our hearts are broken we have lots of memories to comfort us.”

Garry passed away unexpectedly on 11th August at home, aged just 30 years.

A much loved daddy, son. brother, uncle and good friend, he will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

Garry was born on Wednesday 14th June 1989 and grew up alongside elder sister Sarah and younger brothers Ashley and Joshua. He got on well with all his siblings, except on the occasion when his brothers removed the slats from his bunk bed, causing Garry to fall right through! From then on Garry refused to sleep in the same room as his brothers and the decision was made for him to move into the back room, complete with cabin bed, where he was much happier!

Garry went to school at Underwood West and then to Sandbach boys school where he became very popular with both teachers and fellow pupils. At weekends and during school holidays he loved to go fishing, especially at Field Farm and he became a fine angler, never returning home empty handed. He had all the gear which he looked after meticulously. In the years that followed he would go fishing with his grandad, his stepdad, Craig and his brother-in-law, Chris.

Whilst at high school he worked part time at Riverside Pet Food Products and upon leaving school he got a full time job there, which he really enjoyed. When he finished there he went on to work for a while at Bridgemere, before going on to work at Bentley, valeting. He took pride in this job, being very meticulous, he treated every job like it was his own car, which he would always keep pristine, very often cleaning and polishing. He also had 2 or 3 allotments over the years which he also kept tidy and to a high standard of care. He also grew flowers and kept chickens at one time. His flowers once won an award at Betley flower show. But the most proudest moment of his life was when his daughter Lydiah was born on 15th June 2013. Saldy Garry also had two angel babies, Timmy and Dayton, born in December 2014 and January 2018, which left him broken hearted, but he and the family have never forgot their two darling boys. When Colby Kai came along in March this year, Garry found happiness again, his kids meant more to him than anything else in the world.

Garry also loved his 4-legged friends, especially Zeus, his old staffy, who would always come bounding down the stairs to greet him holding his lead between his teeth. Also Freddie, furry companion for the last 12 months, who Garry would walk everywhere, even taking him to his allotment.

Garry was a very kind and thoughtful young man, taken far too soon, leaving a big hole in the hearts of all his family and friends.

Garry’s funeral will take place on Thursday 22nd August in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe at 3.20pm, followed by cremation.

Donations in memory of Garry will be gratefully received by the family to go towards a permanent memorial for Garry.

When I look back at the fun times we had, like me moving from Colwyn Bay to Crewe at 4am in the morning with you carrying my suitcase on the train, random nights in the park talking for hours and hours, my gay friend giving you the eyes when we were at the flat! It’s sad that after what happened we lost touch! But I’ll never forget the fun times. Sleep tight ❤️
