"There is no night without the dawn. No winter without the spring."
Date passed: 6th of October 2019
Funeral date: 25th of October 2019
“There is no night without the dawn, no winter without the spring.”
Helen passed away peacefully in the care of St. Luke’s Hospice surrounded by her loving family on 6th October, aged 80 years.
The beloved wife of Tommy, devoted mother of Lionel, Tony, David and Suzanne, cherished nan of Charlotte, Georgina, the late Claudia, Chloe Rea, Joe and Mitchell, loving great gran of Orla, Noah, Etta and Sienna and adoring sister of Ann-Marie, who sadly passed away in 1954 aged just 3 years.
Born on Saturday 10th December 1938 in Liverpool to proud parents James O’Conner and Annie Pollock, Helen was schooled locally and on moving to Crewe she took a position up at Chester Barrie as a seamstress.
She also loved sewing in her spare time and was a keen gardener. She was a very fit lady, cycling everywhere and walking as well. She also loved her holidays-all over the world-including Cuba, New York, Mexico, Germany and closer to home-Cornwall, Ireland and Blackpool. Her family described her as a big-hearted, fun-loving person who always saw the good in people, definitely a giver and not a taker!
Helen’s funeral will take place on Friday 25th October in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception RC Church, Crewe at 12 noon, followed by cremation.
Donations in memory of Helen will be gratefully received on behalf of St. Luke’s Hospice and MacMillan.
