Jim passed away peacefully on 13th June 2022 in the care of Leighton Hospital aged 93 years.

His funeral will take place on Friday 1st July at Crewe Crematorium Chapel at 10.45am

Funerals are never easy but in dad’s case there was such an outpouring of love across all
generations of his family that it became a glorious celebration which involved everyone of
his two sons and five grand-children who travelled far and wide to participate. Jim/ Jumbo
Plummer was born in 1928 in Valetta, Malta due to his father being on Naval Service. He
lived for the majority of his life on the South coast and the Isle of Wight. A confirmed
Christian, he was a gentle, humble man who had the rare knack of finding joy in the
ordinary, showering kindness on all he met. Jim was married to Joyce for 63 years, following
in the footsteps of his parents who were married for 64. We thank the minster Phil and Jo
and Wendy for their care and support in ensuring the service was a memorable one and for
dad who helped to make the world a better place.
