John Thomas Nixon
“Loves last gift remembrance“
John was born on Saturday The 17th of July 1943 at his home in Frank Bott Avenue,Crewe, to proud parents Herbert and Olive Nixon. He had one dearest sister the late Jean. After passing his 11+ he went to Ruskin Road Grammar School for boys. He was popular with Teachers and pupils alike.
When finishing school he became a clerk at British Rail but perhaps the desk job didn’t suit him, because he retrained as a Vehicle bodybuilder at Metal Box in Winsford. Unfortunately he was made redundant in 1981 and became a stay-at-home father.
When he was younger he played football for Crewe Villa FC and always liked a game of darts and dominoes. He was a big Manchester United fan and was a season ticket holder. His interests were all sports.
He had travelled to Spain in a camper van with friends in the late 60’s enjoyed family holidays camping in Cornwall when the children were younger.
John was a quiet man but friendly to all. He had three children Paul, Carolyn and Andrew and two cherished grandchildren, Cobi and Holly. The family have a lot of memories to remember John by and they would like to thank the staff at The Elms, his previous carers and the nurses on the ward at Leighton Hospital, all of who supported John and his family.
May he Rest in Peace.
