“Not just today, but a lifetime through, we will always treasure memories of you”

At Leighton Hospital on the 14th August, aged just 57 years. Kath, the beloved partner of Frank, much loved mum of Martin, Rebecca, Matthew and Robert. Also a cherished nana of Caitlin and dearest sister who will be sadly missed and remembered with affection.

Kath was born on Saturday the 16th of June 1962 to proud parents John and Phyllis. She had 5 siblings, Johnny, Eric, David, Freddy and Liz. She attended Ludford Street School and after leaving school went to work in the Clothes Factory in Lord Street and later at Castaways Charity Shop.

When she was 17 she met Frank, who she had known for a while and he lived nearby. Before long they were very much in love. They would go out each saturday evening for a drink at The LMR club and after a while they made the decision to move into their first home together on Leighton Park. They enjoyed a wonderful community atmosphere with their family, friends and neighbours. Many BBQ’s, card games, guitar sing alongs and karaoke nights were enjoyed over the years. When the estate was knocked down the family were devastated but they made the best of their move to Frank Webb Avenue.

Kath had already welcomed Frank’s son Robert into her family and in 1986 the couple were delighted with the arrival of their first child together, Martin. Two years later in 1988, their first daughter Becky came into the world, followed by Matthew in 1992.

As a family they spent many a happy time holidaying in a caravan in Towyn or Rhyl, spending most of the time on the beach or in the local parks playing cricket and volleyball and in the local arcades.

Kath loved watching her favourite TV programmes: Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Casualty and playing Bingo in her spare time. She was a very caring person who looked after everyone.

Kath’s funeral will take place on Thursday 29th August in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe at 12.40pm.
