On The Day That You Were Born The Angels Got Together….
Margaret was welcomed into the world on 18th September 1937, one of four children born to Sybil and Fred Sanderson. Margaret had two brothers Geoff and Gerald and a sister who sadly passed away during childhood. The family moved from Congleton to Crewe when Margaret was young, but she made friends easily at Brierley School. On leaving school, Margaret became a cashier at the co-op supermarket and following her first marriage to the late Brian Coulthard, Margaret became a devoted mum to Stephen in 1958 and Angela in 1960.
Margaret remarried in 1985, she and her beloved husband Jim enjoyed a wonderful togetherness surrounded by a loving family. Margaret was a cherished mum, a proud and devoted nan to five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and loved them all to bits. She had a brilliant sense of humour and it didn’t take much to set off her infectious giggling especially when she was enjoying family holidays in places like Spain and Turkey.
During her working life, Margaret was a dedicated auxiliary nurse on wards sixteen and seventeen at Leighton Hospital. She was much loved by the children in her care, their grateful parents and her colleagues who she kept in regular contact with for years after retiring. Margaret’s main passion was spending time with Jim and the family, she enjoyed music and dancing and for many years looked forward to their regular nights out at the Sydney Club. She also got a great deal of pleasure from their beautiful garden and the two doves she had for her eightieth birthday.
Most recently, Margaret enjoyed the VE Day celebrations with her neighbours, socially distanced, sharing a picnic and singing along to Vera Lynn. Margaret was full of fun and laughter, she was a caring, kind lady with a beautiful soul who brightened everyone’s day.
