Maureen ‘Mo’ Baptist
A daily thought, a silent tear. A constant wish that you were here

“A daily thought, a silent tear. A constant wish that you were here”
Peacefully, on the 30th January at home after a period of illness, Mo aged 69 years.
The beloved wife of Michael, loving mum of Shelly and the late Mark, and a treasured nana of Jazmyn and Darsi.
Mo was the youngest of seven and was the apple of her fathers eye. She went to Ludford Street School, working at the Maypole (a grocers) when she left school. Through working at Maypoles, Mo met her husband Michael and they were married and started a family. Mark was there first child followed by Shelly a few years afterwards.
They settled in Crewe, eventually moving to their current address in the late 70’s.
Mo was devastated at the loss of her son Mark, and never really got over it. She worked for a time at Crewe Hall in order to focus on other things, eventually moving to Leighton Hospital and working on the wards which she loved.
Very much a people person, Mo made friends easily and was well liked. If she was your friend, she was loyal and always there.
She was thrilled when Shelly and Scott were married and the arrival of her two granddaughters Jazmyn and Darsi who she adored. She was happiest with her family around her.
Ill health over the last few years meant that she slowly deteriorated and was frustrated at how things were, her loving family were with her when she passed away on the 30th January.
Mo’s funeral will take place in Crewe Crematorium Chapel on Thursday 8th Febuary at 3.20pm. Any donations in Mo’s memory are for the Macmillan Nurses.
