*******************************************************************************************************************************

Married for sixty-two years, Maurice and Marjorie both had various interests and although
Maurice was a bit old school and not overly demonstrative with affection in the public eye, he
adored his family, he was a good husband and dad.
Born in 1936, Maurice lived in the village of Elworth, Sandbach and started as an apprentice
sheet metal worker at the age of sixteen spending the whole of his working life on what he
called the White Line back in the day,
Making the prestigious radiators, he was a perfectionist and after progressing to the role of
foreman and although he was extremely committed, he was very pleased to accept the offer
of early retirement which allowed him to thoroughly enjoy his later years.
He and Marjorie met in Blackpool whilst both out on a works do and for two years, he
regularly made the journey to Todmorden on his motorbike to see her.
After exchanging their lasting vows in September 1960, they settled in Crewe and welcomed
their daughter and son into the world.
They had wonderful caravan holidays and after having a static caravan in Prestatyn when
the children were younger, they moved onto tourers travelling all over the UK, Scotland,
Wales, Blackpool, Marton Mere, short trips to Rhos on Sea and Llandudno. Maurice loved
the freedom associated with caravanning and cooking on a BBQ.
His main passion in later life began when he took up golfing and Marjorie became a golfing
widow for three to four days a week.
Maurice was a hard worker, a proud, private man who had provided for his family. He will be
very much missed.

May he rest in peace.
