Peacefully in the care of her family at home, Mavis died on the 26th April, aged 82 years. The beloved wife of the late Ron, much loved mum to Bernard and loving daughter- in- law Sue. Mavis will be remembered with affection by all who knew her.
Mavis’s funeral will take place on Tuesday the 7th May at 11.30am in St John’s Methodist Church, followed by cremation, Donations are welcome to Macmillan and Alzheimer’s UK.
Mavis was born on Saturday 21st November 1936 in Longton, Stoke on Trent. She was one of two children, her dearest brother, Walter has already passed. After her schooling in Shavington she had several jobs to fit in with her busy home life. In her working life she worked at Calmic’s, McCorquodale’s and Johnson’s Printer’s. Mave’s loved her home and was married to her beloved husband, Ron for 55 years. She doted on her son Bernard.
Ron passed away in March 2014 and she missed him every day. Mave passed peacefully away, where she wished to be – at home, surrounded by those she loved, including her God- daughter Hayley, who had travelled half way around the world to be with Mavis in her final days. Mavis died as she lived with dignity and pride.
