I have nothing but positive memories to recount of an assured, confident, hard-working man who loved those dearest to him. I wish I could’ve seen you more Uncle, I shan’t forget the man you were and the stories my mother told me about the protective, moral, elder brother who was such a loving father to my cousins. I carry your righteousness with me now and will continue to do so.

Dear Michael,
I was really upset when I was told the news, the world is going to miss that giant smile and infectious laugh. I had never met anyone, that was so selfless and always put other peoples feelings first. I have to personally thank you for teaching me the fools mate, I have been beating people at chess in two moves for the past 16 years. Rest in peace.

Hi Tiran,
One of his fears was to forget how to play chess. He even asked me to tell him the rules, before it was all gone. I hope to learn this game in the near future. Michael was passionate about chess.
I will also miss him terribly.
Thank you,

Dear Michael,
Your wise words will never be forgotten. If it wasn’t for you I don’t think I would be where I am today. You were an amazing person. I feel so lucky that I got to know you. My first full memory of you was driving to see you in Milton Keynes, I remember how excited I was to see you all and that I didn’t want to leave. (I was too busy playing with dolls with gabby).
Lots of love.

Uncle Michael,
I echo the sentiments of others here: missed but never forgotten.
Remembered fondly in old childhood stories told to my own children now of drenched Yorkshire camping trips, endless drives on bumpy windy Welsh roads and hours of cricket on grass and sand. All dreariness made remarkable with political talks of Marxism, socialism, feminism, chess and of course tanks, lots of tanks. All with a hearty laugh and such wit to captivate us all.
Cherished memories, thank you. Rest in peace.
- Approved by oconnellHi Vicky,
Thank you for your message; I am sure Michael will appreciate it. I also remember trips with Melvyn and Pat so much laugh. We did not talk about tanks but we shared thoughts about politics, history, philosophy, music…
Take care and best wishes,

Dear Uncle Michael, I want to thank you so very much. Words cannot express just how much you mean to me and how much you meant to my Mum your Sister Pat. You both had such an amazing sense of humor. It gives me peace to know you have now been reunited.
- Approved by oconnellYou taught me to be a better person. I will always remember the wonderful stories you told me as a child. The absolutely fantastic treasure hunts that you used to create for me Gabby. We would spend happy hours searching for clues and running up and down the house and garden to find golden coins! I loved watching films with you where we would route for the bad guy like captain hook in Peter pan, he was just misunderstood, lol!
You taught me to caring and thoughtful. You will always be a part of me and forever in my heart. Lots of love, Gemma
Thank you Gemma,
Gabrielle has the same memories about treasure hunts and we talked about them. We also have fond memories about trips to Wales with your parents.
I will try to improve as a person too.
Best wishes,

Dear Dad
Words cannot express the void you left behind in mine and Mom’s life. Life will never be quite the same without you and the house and all these halls are barren of your echoes of laughter and shared emotions of all the good times and the bad times we shared together. This reality is a little brighter to have had you in it and I will forever carry you with me and share your sense of humour, charisma, wisdom and untold empathy with me where ever I go. You touched a lot of lives and I plan on doing the same.
Love, forever and always
Gabrielle

Dearest Mikey
I believe i am writing this message to you personally as I do believe in life after death. I think a common theme amongst all the posts is what a lovely man you were and how great your impact was on our lives. You were a great intellect and you were an incredible formative influence on my life personally. I could ask you about literally anything and you would have an opinion. You taught me about compassion and the less well off. You taught me about the haves and the fact the “revolution was imminent”. You have left a big hole in many peoples lives myself included.
My condolences to to Sabine, Gabrielle ,Liz and Sophia
