After a life well lived, Olive sadly passed away in the care of Creek Way Village on 30th January 2022 aged 101 Years.

A loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother & Great Grandmother who will be so sadly missed and very fondly remembered by all her family & friends.

Olive made her final journey from Creek Way Village, Burlington, Ontario, Canada back to her home town of Crewe where her ashes were laid to rest in the family grave at St Michaels Churchyard, Coppenhall.

Olive was born on 6th January 1921 in Crewe. Her parents were William & Ethel Fisher and her siblings were Albert, Irish, George, Bill, Florence, Nellie, Steve & Eileen.

Olive met & married her first husband, Jack Cox in 1941 who she had met at work. They had three wonderful boys together – Stuart, Jack & David who grew up living by the seaside.

She then went on to meet Alexander Phillips through friends and they married in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1972. Together they bred British Bulldogs.

Olive worked for Rolls Royce as a machinist.  Also in Morecombe Electric, Supreme Aluminium and as a librarian at Victoria College.

Her love for sports were playing for Crewe Ladies Soccer Team in 1938, being the Cheshire Ladies Cycling Champion from 1938-1939 and then playing for Lunesdale Ladies Soccer Team in 1959.

Olive also loved to travel having been lucky enough to travel to many different countries as well as 26 cruises.

Olive was a good dancer, enjoyed listening to all varieties of music and getting together with her friends on the 3rd floor of her care home in Canada to play cards a few nights a week with a nice cup of tea.
