Richard Edmund Parkinson

Richard (known as Rick, Ricky, grumpy and Mr P) was born on the 10th June 1938 in Hammersmith, London .

The beloved husband of the late Veronica, father of David and Gary, grandfather of Gemma & Craig and a great-grandfather to Elwood and baby Arthur.

He lead a varied life and had many interests, these mainly revolving around his time serving in the Navy, his occupation as a Train Guard and his love of Chelsea Football Club.

Richard  passed away after a period of deteriorating health in the care of Leighton Hospital on 11th August 2020, aged 82 .

His funeral will take place on Monday 24th August 2020 at Crewe Crematorium.

 

Donations are welcomed please in both Veronica’s and Ricks name to St Luke’s Hospice c/o Joseph O’Connell Funeral Service.

    Rick was a lovely, lovely man, his wit was second to none. I never came home from seeing him that he didn’t make me laugh. He will always be remembered with the fondest memories for Veronica and himself, he certainly went out with a bang, the thunder and lightening that night !!!! Bye lovely man. Condolences to the family????
