“ Our treasured memories keep you near“

Bob was born on Wednesday 19th of October 1949 in Bridlington, to proud parents Jack and Gladys. Once he passed his 11+ he went to Scarborough grammar school for boys. He did an apprenticeship after school in mechanics and  he also was in the army for two years. Bob worked at Twyfords ,and Rolls-Royce and travelled the world with Hans LingL  Retiring in 2015.
Bob was with Pat for 46 years until she passed away in May 2019. Bob’s passing so soon is a further blow to  Paul,Carl,Nigel,Adele, Lorna and Colin.
He was also a cherished grandad to Daniel Claudia ,Alex , Rebecca ,Kaitlin ,Harrison and Ella. Bob was a much loved great grandad to Ruby, Rosie and George and a treasured brother to Jackie, Gladys, Kath and Sandra.
Bob and Pat Loved caravaning and he was good at DIY. He loved Formula One, and long walks with his best mate Rowley. He belonged to the caravan and motor home club to which he got great pleasure. Other holiday destinations were most places in Wales and Majorca. He loved family and friends and he enjoyed nothing better then good company over a pint, and a nice whiskey. There was nothing too much trouble for Bob and he would help anyone. He was a very caring man and thought the world of his family.
Bob made friends easily and he was a good friend to have. Bob loved to have fun, he was generous and could be single-minded and confident. He thought the world of Pat. This has been a blow to the whole family. Robert passed away on the 7th of April in North Staffs Hospital aged only 70 years may he rest in peace.

We were so sad to hear about Bobby’s passing – after swearing for many years that caravanning was for nerds he persuaded us into it and we have loved it ever since – getting advice from Bobby on vans to buy and their maintenance and going away with him and Pat (and Lorna too). He will be very sadly missed by our family.
