Rosemary Murray
A daily thought, a silent tear, a constant wish that you were here
Date passed: 14th of July 2020
Funeral date: 28th of July 2020
“A daily thought, a silent tear, a constant wish that you were here.”
Rose sadly passed away on the 14th July at The Royal Stoke University Hospital
aged just 69 years.
Rose was born on the 10th May 1951 in Nantwich to parents Thomas and Ann Edge. She had 7 siblings Mary, Pat, Christine, Maggie, Mick, Katie and John. In her late teens Rose met Barney at St Marys Club in Crewe with the 2 going on to marry at St Mary’s Church on the 12th August 1972. They became parents to twin daughters Anne-Marie and Elizabeth (who sadly passed) and son Anthony. During almost 48 years of marriage living in Crewe they also became proud grandparents to Callum, Amy, Niall and Niamh who were rightly spoilt by “Nana Rose” at every opportunity.
Her working life included over 30 years of service at American Golf in Crewe and being a Midday Assistant at the St Thomas More Catholic High School in the town. The latter role taking place during the years that her children attended the school, whilst she would say this was just coincidental (with a smile on her face) it was Rose’s way of being close to her kids.
Rose was a selfless person with her caring and generous nature being shared with all. From her monthly charity donations, looking after the grandkids, caring for her sister Maggie and being a good listener for friends and family alike, she truly did have a heart of gold.
Donations in memory of Rose will be gratefully received on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Our condolences to all the family at this very sad time.
