“Memories are something no one can steal.”

Sheila sadly passed away on the 21st December in the care of St. Catherine’s care home, Nantwich aged 86 years, knowing she was loved and cared for. The beloved wife of the late Derek. Devoted mum of Graham and Ian, cherished grandmother of Charlotte and a loving sister. Sheila will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

She was born on Monday 14th August 1933, she was the youngest of seven siblings, the family home was in Minshull New Road. She attended West Street and Ludford Street schools.

After her education she got a job as a seamstress for CWS, she also worked for Williams Brothers in sales and also worked for the NHS, she retired when she was 58 years.

She had plenty of past times, including knitting, gardening, doing crossword puzzles and she loved walking round garden centres. One of her favourite holiday destinations was Newquay in Cornwall.

Her family described Sheila as being a real lady, a kind and good person.

Sheila’s funeral will take place on Friday 3rd January in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe at 1pm, followed by cremation.

Donations in memory of Sheila will be gratefully received on behalf of St. Luke’s Hospice.
