Stella Horne

Stella passed away peacefully at Leighton Hospital on the 30th December, aged 91 years. The beloved wife of the late Ralph, also a loving mum and grandma. Stella was born on Sunday the 15th of April 1928 in the beautiful Greek port of Thessaloniki on the Thermaic
Gulf of the Aegean Sea,With its rich history. She had two brothers Theodore and George. Stella Was diligent at school and found she was creative.It was in her mid 20s that thurght a friend She was told of working opportunities in England. She came to England and worked both at County clothes and The company that preceded it Chester Barry. She met and fell in love with a young man called Ralph Horne at a dance in the town hall, They were blessed with two children Christine and Stephen. Stella retired in her late 50s this gave her chance to enjoy her grandchildren Sarah, Stella and Sebastian. She often went back to Greece before and after her retirement. Stella enjoyed cooking Greek food and making traditional Greek cakes

Stella’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 8th January at 10.00am in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe. Donations in memory of Stella are welcome for Cancer Research.
