*****************************************************************************************************************
Steve was a much-loved son to Sylvia and the late John, a younger brother to
Christine, a devoted dad to the two girls born to him and his beloved late wife, Lynn
and also to his youngest daughter, Lorran who was welcomed into the world by
Steve and Kate who he married in 1999 and despite separating years later, they
remained good friends.
He was blessed with the grandchildren he absolutely doted on, Lee, Sienna, Tyler,
Kenzie and Isaac, he had two stepsons Simon and Stuart whose partner is Alannah
and as well as being a fun uncle and great uncle, Steve had many great mates over
the years.
Steve will be sadly missed by his mate Roland and by the many friends he made
whilst he was coarse fishing and in recent years he often went with Matthew.
His biggest passion from a young age was shooting, a hobby he also shared with
Lorran, they went everywhere together despite the cold conditions in the winter
months. During the summer they loved to go to game fairs with his beloved dogs
Chef and Bruce.
Steve lived life on his own terms and at times liked to portray a Mr Grumpy but those
who knew him well often saw a soft side to his nature.
He was a real character, someone you would want on your side in a spot of bother,
fiercely loyal and protective, and wo betide anyone who crossed his family.
He was also an enthusiastic member of the Tractor Driving Club and it was lovely to
see the tractor drivers amongst the cortege.
May he rest in peace.
