Date passed: 2nd of November 2019

Funeral date: 22nd of November 2019

“Our memories build a special bridge and bring us peace of mind.”

Teresa sadly passed away on 2nd November, aged 72 years in her own home, knowing she was loved.

The beloved wife of the late Kenneth. Devoted mum of Tracy, Ken-John, Richard and Hayley. Cherished grandmother of Daniel, Yasmin, Holly, Kerry, Kelly-Ann, Katie, Kayleigh, Kirsty and Ollie and great grandmother of Axl, Gunnar, Melody, Drew Jnr., Samuel, Lily-Ann, Mabel and Robbie. Also loving sister of Stuart, John, Anne, Lenny and Fran. Teresa will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all her family and friends.

Born in Liverpool to proud parents John and Anne the family were never settled in one place for long due to John being in the Scots Guards.

Tess held down a variety of jobs, she met her husband to be, Ken, when working as a barmaid in The Burton Pub. She also was the housekeeper at Kettell’s in High Street. She started her own business, becoming a driving instructor for “Tessa School of Motoring”. She also worked at The Cosey Club in Haslington and at Willaston Social Club and had a spell at The Full Monty sandwich shop on Nantwich Road.

In her spare time she loved dressmaking and knitting, baking and cooking, she loved making family meals and would always make her own bread. She loved reading novels, especially by the authors Catherine Cookson and Helen Forrester.

Family holidays were spent camping and caravaning, the children remembered having some wonderful times, especially at Robin Hood’s Bay on the north Yorkshire coast. Later in life there were holidays further afield to Australia and Bali but Tess and Ken would still enjoy holidays at home, Cornwall, Worcester, Southport and staying in the Fairlight Hotel in Glenridding in the Lake District.

The family home was always a warm and happy place to be, Tess was very outgoing, fun to be around, welcoming, friendly and thoughtful.

Her funeral will take place on Friday 22nd November in the Crematorium Chapel, Crewe at 12.15pm, followed by cremation.

Donations in memory of Tess will be gratefully received on behalf of Myeloma (MacMillan).
