“Loved and remembered every day”
Sadly, with great courage, supported by the love of his family, Tom aged 70 years.
The loving husband of Lorraine, a devoted son of Stella, a dearest dad of Sonia and Adrian, a cherished grandad of Ramona, Ashley, Dominique, Clayton, Tyler, Lydia, Saul and Kiri also a treasured great grandad of Aaliyah.
Tom moved to England from his birthplace of Barbados to be with his mum who came to the UK to train as a nurse. Toms mum made sure he had a job lined up when he arrived.
He moved to Crewe and started working for Heaps of Nantwich, in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and darts and was a keen player of cricket, being a member of the Anglo West Indies Team.
Toms funeral will take place on Monday 20th November at 12noon in Crewe Crematorium Chapel. For any further information, please contact our funeral home.
Goodbye Tom.A kind, caring true friend for a long time. Once met never to be forgotten! We will remember you dearly, especially your lovely smiles and friendly nature. It was a honour to be best man at yours and Lorraines wedding. Goodnight and God bless

So sad and shocked to lose our brother in law, Tom.
- Approved by oconnellBetween the tears we will laugh and smile at the memories and stories we all shared. Memories like when Dave put a duck in your fishing basket and it pecked you when you put your hand in for your butties, those awful crazy waders that you would insist on wearing, the time when you went in that burnt-out house and fell through the floor to rescue that stray rabbit for us, those stories of your holidays with Rhoda and John, (parents in law) where you were a “little bit” tipsy.
Such happy times that will help to ease our pain,
God bless and RIP Tom
Thank you Tom for taking me to the “midge market” and for being forced to watch Quest for Camelot with me. I wish I could have seen you one last time. I will miss you terribly but most of all, I will miss your laugh.
- Approved by oconnellDear Tom, I’ll never forget you, or all the happy holidays we had together. All the good laughs you, Lorraine, John and I had.
- Approved by oconnellIt was so lovely to have known you,
Love from Rhoda xxx
Such a shock and sad loss. Tom was always a happy person who always had a laugh and something to say. I have fond memories of Tom when I was a young teenager, and remember a few trips to the local working man clubs for a shandy & amp; a game of darts. I will miss him. Dave
Our love and sympathy is sent to Lorraine and all Tom’s family. I will remember Tom as having an infectious warm smile with a hearty laugh! God bless from us all x x x
- Approved by oconnellI’ve known Tom since the early 1970’s.
- Approved by oconnellA quiet man till you got to know him.
He loved music particularly soul and reggae. Lorraine, Tome and I had some good nights out together.
Tom always had some tale to tell, usually about some mischief played on him or others at work. Tom and Lorraine made a lot of good friends together.
Tom laughed a lot, enjoyed socialising and had many happy holidays with Lorraine and our mum and dad.
You will be greatly missed by us all. Rest in peace.
Jacqueline, your sister- in – law. xxx
It is with great sadness I begin to write this message remembering aspects of Tom’s life that touched me and my family.Tom had an infectious laugh and never lost his Caribbean spirit. He often liked to tell a story which nearly always ended in hoots of laughter. Much of our conversations centred around a variety of sports and I always regretted never seeing him play cricket.I enjoyed many family meals with Tom. He liked his food and was always good company with a big plate of prawns and a tin of Stella.
- Approved by oconnellMay I offer my sincere condolences to Lorraine and hope she can, given time, move on with her life without Tom but keep those treasured memories close to her heart.
