Trevor will be fondly remembered at Alsager School by his former colleagues and the thousands of pupils he will have taught during his career. He was a very talented Technology teacher, specialising in metalwork, and later of course Head of the Adult Education Centre there.
- Approved by oconnellI knew Trevor because I replaced him as a teacher at the school after he retired from the classroom in the mid 80s. There are many funny stories and anecdotes about Trevor and his experiences as a teacher that are still talked about to this day by my former colleagues and former pupils, we will treasure those memories.
Trevor was a very talented craftsman and during the years when I worked in his classroom I would often discover handmade copper kettles and pots at the back of cupboards that demonstrated the skills and craftsmanship that sadly today cannot be replicated. I remember telling my pupils that, ‘these were the sort of things that used to be made in this classroom’!
It was always a pleasure in later years to bump into Trevor in Nantwich and have a good chat; it was nice to see that he was still living independently until recently.
I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to Trevor’s family on behalf of myself and his fellow colleagues from the Design and Technology Faculty.
