Victor Cooke

A thousand words won't bring you back, we know because we've tried, neither will a thousand tears, we know because we've cried

Date passed: 26th of March 2018

Funeral date: 13th of April 2018

A thousand words won’t bring you back, we know because we’ve tried, neither will a thousand tears, we know because we’ve cried

Surrounded by the love of his family and at peace in his own home, Vic passed away on Monday 26th March, aged 77 years. The beloved husband of Christine, much loved Dad to Mark and Paul, father-in-law to Tracey and Amanda and cherished Grandad to Alex, Lucy and Millie.

Vic was born on Thursday 6 June 1940, in Market Drayton, Shropshire. His main employment was at Rolls Royce Motor Cars, where he worked for nearly 30 years as a paint sprayer.

He was a stalwart of the Sandbach and District Bowling League, serving on the committee for over 20 years. He became league chairman over 10 years ago and served this office with great distinction.

Vic supported Crewe Alexandra, where he served as a steward for over 25 years. He followed Liverpool Football Club and had an interest in crown green bowls and horse racing.

There are many special memories, and Vic will live on in our hearts forever. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral will be at St Michaels Church Coppenhall, on Friday 13 April – 12:30pm. Family flowers only. Donations if you wish to Central Cheshire Community Nursing Service.

I can’t tell you Dad how many tears I’ve cried… Myself, Amanda and Millie love you so very much. I can still see your laughter and your smiling face. This is not goodbye, you will forever be with me. I’ll never stop loving you… Sleep tight xxxxxx
